It has produced various types of station wagons and special vehicles since 1985. It is a national designated modified vehicle manufacturer. In 2003, the Aerospace Shenzhou and Midea Group jointly established the "Yunnan Midea Train Limited". In 2008, it was renamed "Yunnan Aerospace Shenzhou Automobile Co., Ltd.". The company is currently belonging to Yunnan Aerospace Industry Co., Ltd. (Yunnan Aerospace Bureau), China Aerospace Automotive Industry Co., Ltd., China Aerospace Science and Technology Group.
