Jeep’s all-new Gladiator pickup truck has participated in our 2019 Mid-Size Pickup Truck Challenge multicar comparison, been nominated for our Pickup Truck of the Year award for 2020 and, now, has a full review detailing its pros and cons from ’s Aaron Bragman. Unsurprisingly, the Gladiator’s biggest strength is its off-road capability.

“Suffice it to say that it does virtually everything a Wrangler can do off-road,” Bragman writes, “which is more than any other off-road mid-size pickup truck can do, according to our testing.”

What’s more surprising is that the Gladiator is what Bragman calls “the best-riding Wrangler-derived vehicle ever made” on pavement — one of the historic weak points for the iconic Jeep SUV.

Unfortunately, all of those capabilities — not to mention the removable doors, roof and windshield — come at a cost, which can easily crest $60,000 with options and $70,000 with factory accessories. But, as Bragman points out, there is no other truck that can do everything the Gladiator can, putting it in a class all by itself. Follow the link below for our full review.
